The photographs show a 20 lever frame built for the Winchester Railway Modellers Club to operate part of their layout Abbotstone.
Up to five controllers have access to this part of the layout, but there are no section switches, no cab-control switches and no isolating switches, just signal and point levers that are mechanically interlocked to prevent unauthorised or conflicting moves.
Pulling the correct route and signal chooses the correct controller to drive the train.
It is also possible to remove the direction switch from the controller as the signal will select the correct direction. This is over-ridden in the goods yard where shunting takes place. |
